In the Crane Driver, he trusts

The new Civic Officer, being built near my office is coming on at a fast rate. The plumbing went in a short while ago and today some of the internal cladding turned up.

Having just made it out of the truck, as the crane lifted the load into the air, one of the workman standing directly under the, fragile looking, load to get it moved up and along the the right unloading point.

Many passers by were commenting on how they wouldn't do his job. I know building areas are hard hat areas, but I suspect that, with the best will in the world and all the Health & Safety guidance followed, if that lot fell, his hard hat would have just got squished, along with the man wearing it!!. Thankfully, there was no squishing today :-)
