Au Revoir

The sunflowers - le tournesol - have been entering into their final stages of life these last three weeks that we have been in the south. As we were driving out of La Fage I shot this image as a salute to the end of our time there, the end of summer given that today is September 1, and as a reminder that endings give way to the beginnings of what we do not yet know is to come. The time in the south of France has surely seeded the new that we cannot yet identify.
