skype

today's blip was a tough choice.

first, i was able to get several really nice photos of the yellow haze that seems to have enveloped everything in southern california. almost anyone in socal can walk out of there house and witness colors that seem post-apocalyptic. the colors are really amazing- it feels very surreal. it is also searing hot. i think the cloud of smoke is functioning like a huge oven...i can't remember a single day this summer that it was this hot.
so, i really wanted to share some of those photos, but i'm sure everyone is getting tired of hearing about the fires, and although they are far from contained, conditions seem to be improving.

after several meetings this morning, i dropped by bluesheep's house to catch up. i managed to get some blips of the mess in his computer room that make northern exposure's house look immaculate.

right about the time i was thinking of blackmailing him, my brother called me on skype from a very distant location. we frequently use it to keep in touch and are very enamored by technology and video-telephony. i thought it would be cool to get a picture of him on my computer screen and send it to him. after i looked at the photo, i realized that in addition to seeing him, i was visible taking the photo in the lower left corner of the skype application...i know it is two months late, and doesn't follow the rules of the assignment exactly, but it reminds me of the webcam blipfoto project that was inspired by Flick and Northern.
