The Peeling Tree

The bark of this tree seems to peel off to leave the most exquisite red metallic layer exposed. Its beautiful. Nature never fails to impress me. It even spurned me to google the tree to find out its latin name: Betula albosinensis - which is a Chinese Red Birch - how the hell did that end up in Dorking ?
