Rainbow Cake Batter

Decided to experiment and make this Rainbow Cake Recipe for a friends birthday. Unfortunately the final cake turned out resembling two multi coloured pancakes (Thanks for nothing Mrs Beeton) but the batter looked promising ah, better luck next time..
