What a contrast Wednesday and Thursday were to Monday and Tuesday! Despite getting almost NO sleep Tuesday night (had a 7AM flight Wednesday) my friend and I met in Orlando and had a blast. We were neighbors in college and were like roommies for all intents and purposes, minus the sleeping arrangement. :) She travels for work and it was nice for both of us to travel together for fun - apart from a night I spent with her in May, I haven't seen her in years.

We checked into our hotel, visited the Ron Jon on Coco Beach (next to our hotel), ate at the IHOP, and went to a salon where we had a full treatment. Manicures, pedicures, eyebrow waxing - we got girly. Absolutely hilarious for me as that is NOT my normal mode of operation! But what the hell, we were on vacation and it was both fun and relaxing.

Thursday we checked out of the hotel and made our way onto our cruise ship. This is a photo of the drink special of the day and the cup couldn't have been more accurate or apropos. :) The rocking of the ship, the alcohol, and my lack of sleep Tuesday led me to an early bed - but the 12 hours of solid sleep really couldn't have been beat either.
