Post Blip Birthday Hangover

I'm still reeling from all the great comments everyone posted yesterday. I'm humbled and swelling with pride for associating myself with such a great fun online community. The day was also bitter sweet in that Sea Urchin announced her departure. A real blipping force she is. She will be missed, but I guess we couldn't hog her all to ourselves forever.

Today was challenging on many levels made more complicated by my desire to keep up with all the great activity on blip (much of it directed my way). I was intrigued at the unraveling of Chaos's aerial ruse.

I had to get work all wrapped up before a small semi-official dinner on the corporate tab to interview new personnel. I had a delicious rib-eye and crème brûlée for dessert. Great day overall. It was sobered when we got home as we were notified that there was a "violence threat" (ala Columbine) towards Calico's school and there would be police guarding the school tomorrow. We're debating whether she will attend at all. It's sad that such a discussion even has to take place.

Chaos would be proud. This shot was taken on a late afternoon work day blip break during a 20 minute window when the sun showed up in a small corner of the Mat-Su valley. By the way, Chaos did a nice Sea Urchin link tribute.
