Tranquility

It's 8am on a bank holiday morning. And what a beautiful morning!

The sky is blue, the sun is still low in the sky - casting long shadows and shining that wonderful, rich early morning light.

In Cheltenham, there is hardly a soul to be seen. A small group of American tourists take a few pictures of the Queen's Hotel before scurrying onto a coach, there are one or two people heading for their shop jobs and three or four others dozily waiting for a bus to Gloucester.

But that's it.

Otherwise, it's just the world and me. And it's a delicious feeling as I stand in Imperial Gardens looking across to the colourful flower beds.

It's a touch chilly for the time of year, but I could stay here all day - instead of going to work.

But I'm not very good at that sort of thing! At least I have the picture to remind me.
