Adult day at Carnival

There are probably the same number of people here today, but the mix is different. Floats are followed by grown-ups with wild and extravagant costumes, sometimes reminding me of processions in New Orleans as well as Rio.

Friends and neighbours watch the world go by on their doorstep and the sound of vuvusela fills the air.

Two of my favourite sights today were of the gold man and this lady who didn't let her disabilities stop her going out and photographing the parade. She even has a horn in the tray ay the front of her wheelchair so she can joing in with the noise... respect!
