Beggar on Rialto Bridge

Venice was very busy. There were 5 huge cruise ships in dock and the streets were crammed with tourists disposing of the holiday Monday. The busiest place was probably the Rialto bridge. This is probably why this woman chose to beg there.

It was quite a striking pose, it was very hot, she was surrounded by shops and opulence and no one had given her any money.
