Bandon at Sunset
This shot was taken in Bandon after coming back from Gold Beach. My husband had a meeting in Gold Beach so I wandered around, did some shopping, etc.
We went out to dinner at a new restaurant in Gold Beach that was so great. It just opened a few weeks ago, and it is called "Happy Days Malt Shop" and it has all kinds of 50's paraphernalia. On one side of the restaurant is a collection of old cars that are all shined up and looking spiffy. The restaurant is on the other side of the building and everything makes you feel like you have stepped back into the 50s.
There is a stage with mannequins of the Blues brother and a stand-up poster of Elvis. They have live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights with a cover charge.
The food is mainly burgers, fries, shakes, sandwiches, salads, etc. And the greatest thing, they have a little theater in the building with about 20 chairs that plays silent movies. I think you could spend all day there looking at all the displays they have. If you go there in the evening, be sure you have a reservation. We had a great time.
Bandon had a fairly nice sunset, not as great as I wanted, but there were sure a lot of photographers on the beach.
Have a nice day.
