Chemin de St. Jacques de Compostelle

It being our last Sunday in La Fage, we drove about 6K to the little town of Manses and there walked a small section of the Chemin. This walkway goes through southern France to join the route through northern Spain to reach Galicia all the way to where the land ends at the edge of the sea. Pilgrims over the centuries have traveled many walkways through Europe to reach that destination. It was easy to imagine the uncountable footsteps that have walked this road; the archway in this photo that beckons felt most symbolic for our own yearning to go further. That must be for another time.
