We're at a retreat of sorts in the alps in a small town called Mariazell. Today we went into town to see the Basilica (pictured here) but we couldn't really go in because there was a funeral going on, although what I could see was absolutely beautiful! Mariazell is known for its gingerbread and herbal schnapps. Needless to say, we tried them both. One of the program coordinators took Marisa, Emily and me to the place with the best schnapps and bought us a round. (I bought some to bring home for those of you there.) Then we tried the gingerbread which was absolutely amazing! Mariazell is a town that looks like Disneyland and smells like gingerbread and is absolutely beautiful!
