Homeward bound.
I can't remember the actual logic behind flying back from Vegas instead of LA (it was linked to the idea that we would hire an RV but ended up staying in hotels. Don't ask). But, drive back to Vegas we had to do. Now for those who have seen this one you will know we had not had as much luck in the driving stakes as we could have done.
This was no different. Half way between LA and Vegas (so that's 150 miles), we discovered we had left our passports in the hotel in LA. So, we duly turned around and drove 150 miles back to LA. Collected our passports and turned around for the 300ish miles back to Vegas. This photo was taken as we reentered the LA traffic and, to be honest, other than the odd fist fight and screaming fit (none of which were on the part of me or my husband, so that's good!), this is pretty much how the whole journey was. I do have a lovely bunch of roadtrippers.
Plus, always one to try and look on the bright side of things, if we hadn't we would have missed the following things...
a) sunset over the desert. Gorgeous
b) stunning orange and purple lightening. And lots of it
c) driving through a mini sandstorm. Although, that freaked me out slightly, so I could have probably gone without that. ;)
