Ferdinand

Or at least R, who will be playing Ferdinand in the Grads production of The Tempest in the Fringe next month. R needed a headshot for the programme and I wanted some more practise so I popped round to his flat for a quick shoot. A single flash with a reflective umbrella and a bit of white card for a bit more infill. As a male portrait, shadows are much less of an issue, or rather having shadows is a positive thing to bring out the strength of the facial features. R was pleased with the result and insisted I leave with several bottles of beer as payment in kind!
