Tournesols

Contrary to popular belief, sunflowers turn their heads away from the sun. Hence the French - 'tournesol', literally 'turn from the sun'.

These are almost dead now, and ready for harvesting soon. There are various 'huileries' in the area and pretty soon the heads will be pressed for the oil they produce.
