White Knapweed

This is not a recognised scientific name . This white version of Common Knapweed grows on a disused railway embankment near to my house. There is a species called Brown-rayed Knapweed but that is confined to continental Europe so quite where or how his particular 'version' of knapweed got here is a mystery to me.
