METROPOLITAN MEADOW

Location: telegraph Hill Park, London SE 14 (the same locations as http://www.blipfoto.com/diplomaticdiva-2010-08-21 the Farmers' Market in last Saturday's blip).

There is an information board in the meadow that states:

Meadows are an essential habitat for a wide range of plants and animals. They are an important source of food and shelter for invertebrates, birds and small mammals. Creating meadows in urban areas conserves local wildflower species and increases the available habitat that is needed to support important local wildlife.


It's a bit Monet-esque, isn't it? I love it.
