Wow.

Today, the Metro was crowded. Not just like normal crowded, either. I got on my train just as it got to the station and, luckily got a seat. The train stayed in that station with its door open for about 15 more minutes. We were told that there was a problem train in the tunnel a few ahead of us. We slowly made our way the three stops to my destination, which was OK because I had my new book, Steinbeck's Travels With Charley. This shot is from the top of the platform escalator at my destination stop, Foggy Bottom. I barely made it out of the train before they closed there. Apart than my morning adventures, the day was relatively uneventful. And yes, this picture has very little, if any, technical merit.
