Niagara Falls - Day 2

This picture is from our second day at Niagara Falls. It had been rainy and overcast the whole day, which actually worked to our advantage. We went to a bunch of wineries that morning, and because of the gloomy weather, there were no crowds. We went to four wineries: Sunnybrook Farms, Stratus, Frogpond, and The Ice House. The best of the day were Sunnybrook Farms and The Ice House. Sunnybrook does not make wine from grapes; they make wine from other fruits such as apples, pears, blueberries, and cherries. They are all pretty darn amazing. The Ice House makes ice wine and gives FREE ice wine slushie samples - pretty much the greatest thing ever.

In the afternoon, we went on Maid of the Mist and because of the weather, there was no crowd. It was great. Clearly these ponchos are the newest fashion statement. Haha. That night, we saw some great fireworks over the falls and the downtown was nicely lit up!
