You can't judge a record by its cover #2
Another fantastic 7" single package designed by Hamish Kilgour from the legendary New Zealand band The Clean (You can't judge a record by its cover #1 is his unplayable etched 7" from 1996).
When The Clean split up in 1982 Kilgour and his brother David (also of The Clean) formed a band cheekily called The Great Unwashed. This 1984 double 7" single pack was made using segments of a plastic paint-spattered stage backdrop.
The combination of plastic and paint has damaged the vinyl over the years, so most copies of this are also unplayable. But who cares when you have the object and the songs are available on other vinyl and CD releases?
