Bugs

Two of my team members made their first trek out to my side of town this afternoon. We enjoyed cooking with students in the dorms, visiting friends in the slums, and walking around the market. B bought some bugs to try. He wanted one grasshopper, one beetle, and one silk worm. However, they were only sold in spoonfuls, so he ended up with extra. After choosing his bugs, they were fried, sprayed with something, and sprinkled with seasoning.

The taste-test verdict:

Grasshoppers--good, but the legs are kind of poky to swallow.
Beetles--the least favorite because they squirt guts when you bite into them.
Silk worms--the best, not bad taste or texture.
