Education, education, education...

It's a big day, your first day of formal education.
This was Katie setting off for her first day of nursery school, and she absolutely could not wait. For her, it was a brilliant afternoon spent meeting new friends, playing with the sand pit, the toy kitchen, the computer, the plasticine, painting a picture, and wondering why on earth we were still there.
For us, it was the thought that we no longer filled her days completely. It's a strange thought. This is my little baby - I'm still getting used to seeing the blue line. We're still number one of course, and hopefully always will be, but now there is someone else in her life. It's a person that now has the ability to change the direction of my little blue line, guide her, steer her, and maybe even give a little bit of themselves to make her a better person. And I absolutely trust them to do that.
Teachers of the nation, I am handing you the keys. Take care of her.
