Infamous
This is the infamous Jimson Weed. First named after Jamestown Colony where it was used.
According to Wikipedia, "Datura stramonium, known by the common names jimson weed, devil's trumpet, devil's weed, thorn apple, tolguacha, Jamestown weed, stinkweed, locoweed, datura, and moonflower, is a common weed in the Solanaceae (nightshade) family."
The active ingredients include atropine and scopolamine which are classified as deliriants.
James Bond and other spies were given scopolamine as a "truth serum", but he was able to resist because he was a trained spy and heroic figure.
We must be lucky to have it growing wild in our area. We are also sensible enough to identify and stay away from it.
For druggies, it has to be a cheaper high than crack or meth.
