Stairway to heaven

Now that we're expecting the patter of tiny feet in October we're setting our minds to making sure the house is in a fit state to inhabit. Tackling lots of little jobs but the main one is the fact that our staircase doesn't have a bannister, thereby letting you sail majestically out into thin air is you lose your balance going up.

Not ideal at the best of times - certainly not when you're holding a baby. Hence starting taking blips to formulate a plan of action.

My hammer and wrecking bar can hardly wait...
