Photographing Jewelry

I needed to send someone a picture of a piece of my jewelry. I find taking photos of jewelry really hard. Between reflections, and making it come alive if it is on a flat surface I never feel satisfied that I've captured it well. So after playing around a bit I decided to see what I could do also using the Plastic Bullet iPhone apps on this necklace. Yes, it will play with the colors a bit but it was a fun exercise. Captured here is only the clasp and you can see the green turquoise beads around it.
