The Canoe Expedition

It was a great afternoon to be on a lake in a canoe and in the water. The grandkids loved it, and so did my daughter and I. We paddled a while, beached the canoe for a snack, then paddled to the swimming area. Z and B played in the water with their paddles and an air bed which they borrowed from a woman who was sunbathing next to us. I took my first (and probably last) swim of the year.

The canoe was too crowded to accommodate C, but she didn't mind -- she's not as fond of the water as the rest of us are, and was quite happy to go to her yoga class.

In the evening we made the traditional visits to La Fiamma for pizza, and Mallard Ice Cream.

It was a day to remember.
