Stone Planet

It looks like something spinning around the solar system but is in fact a polished stone from Malawi (I think) which contains wonderful translucent sandstone rings of different colours.

I'll need to experiment with different light conditions and possibly a lens with better macro capability to see if I can capture sharper detail but meantime this is about the best I can do for my blip tonight.
