peggy wanted me to make an apple pie today from two apples from her gran's tree...I didn't really have much choice! so I got the flour out and what should have been a half hour job turned into an epic 3 hour baking session making pastry, stewing apples and dodging loads of wasps that suddenly appeared in our kitchen. I think we may have a bike somewhere...b is currently investigating.

anyway, here's the apple pie! the kids loved it...but I think I deserve a wee lie down now.
