Exploring Yellowstone
Day #16 of our road trip
We spent a leisurely day driving through Yellowstone Park today...the entire park. We stopped quite a few times for photos of the waterfalls, geysers, and of course the animals.
It really is a beautiful place, amazingly beautiful. The landscape varies from dry grasses on rolling plains to rivers flowing through mountainous peaks. We were very fortunate to see numerous bison, a couple bald eagles, a coyote, elk, a herd of moutain goats, and two bears.
We ended the day with a stop at Old Faithful...of course by the time we arrived, the wind and rain had picked up. Classic really, and deserving of a good laugh.
So why not an image of Yellowstone? Well, because this is what I will remember from today...when we had to pull of the side of the highway so my "potty training son" could take care of business. The family moments we shared today are what I will remember most....
