Hydrangea
One of my favorite things about going to Connecticut are the flowers. Ever since we bought my grandmother's condo in Southington, I've become obsessed with gardening. It's so much easier out there! Unlike my yard in LA, which is mostly clay and poor soil, the ground in CT is soft and moist with all of the rain. It allows me to go away for months at a time without having to worry about watering. I love it.
Of all the times I've come to Connecticut, I've never actually seen this hydrangea in bloom. It's now become the highlight of my garden with its gorgeous shades of purple and lavender (my favorite color).
