Prasuti Griha

Prasuti Griha is the name of the maternity hospital in Nepal where Britni and I have been working.

The women in this very long line are all pregnant and waiting to see a doctor or nurse for further discussion of their urine dipstick test results. The hospital was not very crowded today due to a religious holiday, but was still very very crowded. Gai Jatra (another Nepali holiday, in which people dress up in celebration of the lives of family members who have passed away in the last year) is tomorrow, so the hospital will be relatively empty tomorrow as well, but Thursday should see a large increase of expecting mothers. I'll be in the antenatal care areas taking more photos.
