My grandparents have been staying down the block in an apartment in the basement of my father's cousins' house because they have had a lot of events on Long Island and didn't want to keep driving back and forth from Delaware. Today was their last day here, so they had us over for brunch. I was talking to my two little cousins who pulled out their bags full of Silly Bands. For those of you that don't know, Silly Bands are elastic bracelets that look like different shapes when you take them off your wrist.

We started talking about all of the things that are popular today in kids lives like the Silly Bands, Kooky Pens, and Webkinz. When I was growing up, we had Pogs, Ferbies, Tamagotchies. It got me thinking about all of the things that I collected as a child, like Spice Girls memorabilia. I also have this hat that came with one of my American Girl Doll outfits and it is covered in tons of pins. I add to it whenever I get a new one.



So besides brunch, today was spent at Mac's graduation party, which was a lot of fun. It's so weird seeing these youngins go off to college for the first time and say their goodbyes. I wish them all luck!
