Falling From The Tree

Summat a bit different today; there's an apple tree on Brook Street, just a few minutes walk from my house, and it's just started to shed its crop, mostly onto the pavement and the road. Cars come through regularly enough that the street's covered in pulped and rotting apples, and if it wasn't for the rain pounding down at regular intervals, I'm pretty sure it would be fully under wasp control by now. Seems a bit of a waste, but then, that's this summer for you.
