I went for a walk

I didn't wait for Ms Upstairs to start with the manufactured pop music, I went for a walk down the canal regardless.

I had a really good chat with some people working on the canal (oooh would I love a job like that!) and I helped the boaters through my lock (as usual when I'm there) and I had lunch at a little eatery right on the canal bank - all in the reverse order!

The meal was really simple, but peppered with chit chat with the people around me. The walk was sprinkled with the odd light shower, but that stopped nothing. I had a really good afternoon with no pressure at all from anyone.

I came home feeling great and was up to doing some batch cooking as insurance against other bad days that are likely to come but I can help fight.
