his is the Rubik's Revenge - you thought the Rubik's cube was hard ... take a look at this one and notice the difference!

This particular cube has been unsolved for about 26 years if my maths is correct. Well, having heard about James' expertise at cube solving, my father found this in its not-quite-completed state and gave it to me to see if it really could be solved. After several attempts, research online, study and perseverance, the result is here for all to see. Success! One solved cube, one very pleased boy, one proud mother and an equally impressed and proud onlooker - me.
