40 miles from the city....

....and 40 years back in time.

Up early with a slightly blocked nose. Does anyone else get a blocked nose from central heating and sleeping in a tent in the fresh air?.....mmmm....actually, there's nothing very fresh about the air in my tent after a night on the ale.

We did the essental 3 hour breakfast and then some active stuff before jumping in the car to view Meggat Water, Tala Switchback, Tweedsmuir and then lovely old Moffat. If you want to travel in time to see village life in the 70's visit Moffat. It's twee but comforting nice at the same time.

LLCoolJim and Jacob were the terror of the boating pond and Jacob declared that he wants to move into the Moffat Toffee Shop. Incidently, if any US blippers want to understand why Scottish people have bad teeth, visit that shop; all will be revealed.

Back to the campsite for a superb BBQ with tasty ales and wines from the Inn. Apparently I fell asleep at 10pm and stirred occasionally to sup from my glass....middle age eh?
