Baby bald eagle

This poor guy is sick, so one of our surgeons who works with wildlife brought him in today to get treated. We all leapt at the opportunity to see one of these magnificent birds up close and personal. He isnt mature yet, so he lacks the signature white feathers.His beak and his talons were so impressive, this picture barely does him justice To be honest I never heard exactly what was wrong, but I assume all will be well. One neat thing, when the rescuer was waiting for the doctor to pick the eagle up, he distracted it with a squirrel that had been killed on the road. Well, on the x rays you can clearly see a squirrel foot in his belly.
