Bhairahawa
A pair of kids walking down the main road in Bhairawah, Nepal
We were supposed to visit a bunch of clinics and doctors today, but the monsoon rains prevented the other people from flying out of Kathmandu and we took an early flight back, but not before taking the time to walk up and down a few streets of the town in which we'd spent the night. The locals were very interested in us, and we must have "Nameste"'d about a hundred people during our walk. Many even ventured cautious "hello"s to us :)
Everyone is very friendly. In the country the rice fields dominate the landscape, with colorful buses and trucks rumbling down the pothole-dotted dirt roads and locals smiling from their workshops and stores. Somehow it's a very comfortable atmosphere.
