Ousies

Went for our first local restaurant outing tonight, a little Greek not far along Grunewaldstrasse.

Rather nice ambiance, cosy and cramped, and the food was good, as always plenty of it, and a bit heavy on the meat... But as always, Mark did not disappoint and managed to finish most of it. When we left, we were told they didn't take switch (or visa), another German peculiarity, you need cash a lot of the time. The guy was going to let us go without paying and said we should just come back another day which I thought was rather nice. But then grandma managed to find some money in her wallet, so we could pay after all!

The big minus - people were smoking... the ban is still not Germany-wide, only a few states have adopted it, but we hope it will get to Berlin next year maybe.

Surprisingly, little Sam was all up for it whilst Lilli was all subdued - the world the wrong way round.
