Vespa

I've often thought how cool it would be to own and ride one of these, especially after watching Quadrophenia! My dad had one or two in the early 60's before he could afford his first car.

I was told, many years ago, that my mum was eight months pregnant carrying me and was on the back of my dad's scooter when he hit a patch of ice in January '62. She came off and slid along the road for some distance. Some say, "that explains a lot!", when I tell them this story.

I've no idea what exactly they mean ;)
