Sunflower Tree

I have never seen a sunflower like this: A single plant with so many blooms (and new blooms are still coming!). Today I countet more than 20.

I like to thank the bird that lost the seed in my moms garden last winter.
Could it be a thank you to us for feeding the birds during the endless snow and ice?
One hand washes the other.
