Oh, so very necessary is 'the box'.

Nestling amongst the underpant/jockstrap regions, this little fellah protects the vital area against potential immeasurable pain on the cricket field. I have witnessed grotesque moments when a batsmen has forgotten to insert his box. Only the bowler enjoys the inevitable writhing.

Today's match is the biggest of the season so far. Win, and we are almost sure of promotion to the heady heights of Division 1 of the East of Scotland League. Lose, and we'll shrug our shoulders and have a good long bevy in the Golf Tavern.
