Karekare Beach

I took a private tour today today with TIME Unlimited Tours out of Auckland. We went through the Waitakere Range and then out to the West Coast beaches. The most famous beach is Piha as it's famous for its surf, but I actually enjoyed the beauty of Karekare Beach which had very few people, and the same beautiful rocks and black sand. Karekare is famous as it's the location for a number of scenes in the movie 'The Piano'.
