A Piece of Cake

...several pieces in fact.

It's Friday, the end of the week, and the day I most often simply cannot be arsed to think about the usual drudgery of supper

MrCats&Dogs has lifeboat training on a friday so he flies in from work and flees back out again and is currently bobbing about in one of the orange boats I can see out of the kitchen window.

So the day turns to blip and suddenly I have the urge to bake a swiss roll...slightly provoked by our group theme.

I have flour, sugar, eggs??? Ds2 was sent to check under the chickens, and three were found!

The request was for a chocolate and raspberry one, but we do not have any cocoa, so plain sponge it is!

I think it's almost fancy enough to pass off as a Vanilla Roulade, filled with homemade rasberry jam and fresh whipped cream.

Bang goes the diet!
