David's Blips

Theatre under the stars

One of those days where I have a selection of pictures I could choose.

Started my new job today. A training shift, a chance to see how everything works. Spent the later half watching videos and answering basic health and safety questions.  I was taught how to pull a plug out without stretching my muscles. All the complicated stuff.  I would tell you more, but one of the policies I signed forbid me from mentioning my new employer on blogs or social networks.  You're probably thinking I'm working for MI5 or something... ssh, I've already said too much.

This evening we went to the outdoor theatre in Stanley Park. We read about this yesterday. Discovered just in time, it finishes up on Saturday for the summer. They're showing Singing In The Rain and Joseph on alternate nights. Tonight was Singing In The Rain.  Stayed dry, but it was cold after the sun went down.  Good production though, and a good storyline for me to follow. Too much singing and I begin to lose interest - this production wasn't one of those.

Took some great photos of Vancouver's sky line at night on our walk home, but gathered I could photograph that again sometime, where as I couldn't photograph the outdoor theatre again... so decided to go with the theatre photo. The night time photos will come in the coming days, weeks or months. Vancouver is impressive at night.
