Waiting for the ferry

Getting on the ferry this morning, there were these 5 guys with bikes, all with kid trailers. Only one mom in sight, from the parking lot, with baby in backpack, taking pictures. They got off on Galiano Island and held up all the ferry traffic - no one dared pass these bikes with the kids in tow on the narrow road on considerable hills. Later I saw them at the store, part way to the park where they were going to camp, buying beer. I learned the kids were all between 3 and 5 and this was their 3rd year of the Dad/kid camp out. Riding all those hills was amazing and impressive! We said something about how crazy it must be and they said that was why they were buying the beer - they would just strap the kids down. Ha. What a cool experience for those kids- sorry the photo isn't a bit sharper- it was out our car window with the iPhone. Hope it doesn't rain on them like predicted.
