First fruits

Autumn is definitely in the air today, wet, grey, humid and still. The apples are ready for eating too and a wonderful red amongst all the lush green. It was softly raining when I took this blip, the moisture adding to the lushness.
A crazy, very Irish night last night as the ladies of Bantry and environs (all 500 of us) descended on the Maritime Hotel, dressed in our finery, for a fashion show compered by Graham Norton. It was a fun raising event for the local (Protestant) Church and the vicar was one of the models, as were several of the parents from school and some of the children. The atmosphere was suitably raucous and comments only just this side of the wind!!
