We made the journey home last night. Lyra has become increasingly unimpressed by the idea of being strapped down in her car seat for hours on end so we made sure to massively over stimulate her at a soft play hell holecentre and fill her to the brim with dinner before embarking on an evening journey in the hope she'd nod off. Remarkably she slept for the whole five hours, the only downsides to this being that I had forgotten to hook up my colostomy bag; and midnight, after a five hour journey was not Mummy and Daddy's idea of playtime - but it was Lyra's...

Lyra was most excited to be home, and was especially pleased to see the cats. She has shown her love by chasing them incessantly all day. Poor buggers.
