car trouble

Well, November 2006 goes down as the worst month I've known in the history of car ownership.
Engines seizing, servicing nightmares, several breakdowns (cars, not me) and then this...

The wreckage you see here is Mrs Dirt Monkeys week-old replacement car after a truck driver decided that her presence on the road wasn't enough to make him stop and wait til she passed his driveway.
The kind gentleman then helpfully yelled abuse at her and our (crying) daughter. Very nice.
Ah well, no major injuries apart from sore necks and backs.
Non commital police, inompetent tow truck drivers, but very helpful insurance bods all resulted in a very long day.
So, with the weekend looming, we now have two courtesey cars in the driveway.
Both of them too small to fit the mountain bikes in!! Gutted!!
